GoStream Deck by Osee: choosing between Deck, Duet and Omni live-streaming switchers

This guide compares Osee's GoStream Deck, Duet and Omni lines by real needs, so you know what to ask before asking for a price.

GoStream Deck is a live-streaming video switcher from Osee: compact, able to switch several cameras and push the result online without a powerful computer. If you need more inputs, separate recording of each camera (ISO), or 4K inputs, compare Duet 8 ISO and Omni 12 ISO before asking for a price.

GoStream Deck, Duet and Omni: three different tiers

Product names on the market are easy to confuse, so separate them first. According to product coverage, Osee has at least three groups: GoStream Deck (entry level, mostly HDMI ports), GoStream Duet (mid tier, adding SDI, NDI and ISO recording) and GoStream Omni 12 ISO (higher tier, 12 channels). Names such as "Deck 4K" or "M2" also appear in search terms, but in this research we could not find an official manufacturer page confirming either name. Ask the reseller for the exact model and version before ordering.

What they share, per press descriptions: hardware devices with a built-in encoder, able to stream straight to platforms over RTMP, controlled from the on-device panel or from control software.

The table combines Newsshooter's article on the Omni 12 ISO, IBC's article on the Duet 8 ISO, and retailer descriptions found in search results. The Deck column comes only from retailer descriptions and has not been checked against the manufacturer's spec page, so verify it.

When the Deck is enough, and when to aim higher

The Deck is usually enough when

  • You stream a small show: an internal seminar, a sales session or training, with a few HDMI cameras.
  • You do not need to record each camera separately for later editing.
  • 1080p is enough; 4K sources are not a requirement.

Look at Duet or Omni when

  1. You have SDI cameras, or IP or PTZ cameras that use NDI.
  2. You want ISO recording to re-cut the programme after the event.
  3. You need many graphics layers, chroma key, or several RTMP streams at once.
  4. Your cameras output 4K, even if the programme output stays at 1080p.

About "Deck 4K" and GoStream software

According to retailers, the original GoStream Deck is limited to 1080p60, and within the Deck/Duet group only the Duet 8 ISO is described as accepting 4K60. Some retailers mention a "GoStream Deck 4K" as an upgrade, but this has not been checked against manufacturer documentation. If you truly need 4K (input, output, streaming or recording), ask the reseller for the official spec sheet in writing.

On software, IBC's article says the Duet has PC control software plus Stream Deck and Companion support. GoStream WEB is the manufacturer's site at app.gostream.co, but when we opened it we could not read any descriptive content, so this article does not describe its functions. Check the manufacturer's documentation to see which models the software supports.

Questions to ask before asking for a price

  1. What is the exact model and version, and does it go by another name?
  2. What are the actual inputs and outputs, and do they match the cameras you own?
  3. What is the maximum output and recording resolution?
  4. Which recording drives are supported (SSD, CFexpress) and is one included?
  5. Warranty, local reseller, delivery time and technical support.
  6. What the price includes in taxes and accessories. Check the reseller's or the manufacturer's price page, since prices change over time.

Frequently asked questions

What is GoStream Deck used for?

It switches several video sources, mixes audio, and streams live or records from one hardware device, instead of editing live on a computer.

Does a GoStream Deck 4K really exist?

Some retailers mention the name, but we could not confirm it against the manufacturer's official page. Ask the reseller for a written spec sheet.

How does the GoStream Duet 8 ISO differ from the Deck?

According to the sources we read, the Duet adds NDI, SDI, PGM plus 8 ISO recording channels, and PC control software.

When does the Omni 12 ISO make sense?

When you have many SDI or HDMI cameras, need many graphics layers, and want three RTMP streams at once.

Where can I ask about GoStream Deck pricing?

Ask an authorised local reseller or check the manufacturer's page. This article gives no prices because they vary by time and seller.
