Reference-price policy

Every price on this site is a reference price: it tells you the order of money involved, it does not replace a quote. The rules below describe how the system actually behaves, not what we intend.

• Every number is tied to a specific source: a price page or document published by the vendor, a reseller quote, or press coverage. No source, no number — even when we could make a good guess.
• Every number carries the date it was checked: the last date we opened the source and found it still stating that number.
• A plan we have not checked says “Price not verified”. That gap is deliberate, not an omission.
• Numbers appear exactly as the source publishes them, each with its own “VAT not included” or “VAT included” label. We never add or remove tax, never convert currencies, and never divide an annual price into a monthly one — those numbers exist in no source.
• The “From” price on a product card is the lowest list price within a single billing period (monthly if there is one, otherwise annual, otherwise one-off), worked out separately for each currency and tax label — a pre-VAT number is never compared against a VAT-inclusive one. For products sold as one bundle per company, it is the bundle price; the price per extra user is shown separately on the product page.
• Promotional prices always carry an end date and disappear from the site once it passes.
• When a recheck finds the same number, only the date changes. When the number changes, the new one replaces it on the site.

What a reference price does not cover

• A reference price is not a quote. What you actually pay also depends on seat count, term, bundles, the reseller, and whatever promotion is running when you buy.
• A source can change its prices at any moment, including right after our last check. Look at the date, and open the source before you decide.
• Sources can be wrong too. We copy the number as published and link back to it; we do not certify that it is correct.

Articles and news

• Guides are typed — buying, installation, usage, tips — so you can see which question an article answers. A guide compiled from documentation, press or forums needs at least one source before it can be published; the sources are listed at the end of the guide, with their type (vendor page, press, user community…).
• A news item cannot be published without at least one source. That is enforced by the system, not an editorial habit.
• Only published content appears on the website; drafts stay inside.
• The site draws no legal conclusions. Where licence terms or regulations come up, we cite the source and leave you to check it against your own contract.

Where to report an error

An outdated number, a broken link, a step that no longer matches the current version — telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed. Please include:

• the address of the page on this site;
• the number or sentence you believe is wrong;
• a link to a source for the correct information, if you have one.

We reopen the source, check it, then update or remove the information. The address is on the contact page.
